I bought some truffle oil today, a couple jars of truffle and a gift and found when I got home that someone at your stand in Campo dei Fiori overcharged me by about 15 euro. I am very upset about the transaction.
I bought 2 jars black truffle 2 @ 45 euro each
1 large black truffle oil @ 19 euro
1 gift basket at 19 euro
1 small white truffle oil at 15 euro
He charged 155 euro on my wife’s credit card.
Thank You.
Daniel, I hope you received my direct response to you about this issue. I am very sorry for your experience. I too am a customer of Mauro Berardi at Spezie famose nel Mondo at Campo dei Fiori. As promised I will show him your email and suggest he do something, but I’m pretty sure it will be difficult to get him to do much once you’ve left the market. In fact, in general, Italians do not have returns and if you are very good at convincing them, you might get an exchange. Their rules of business are quite different than here in the U.S. I’ll see though, if I can get him to give you a spice mix sample or two to compensate for the error. I won’t be going until mid-October with a return after Thanksgiving, but if you email me your mailing address I’ll see what I can do for you.
